Mr. Sloan is a founding shareholder and vice president of Waldeck, Matteuzzi & Sloan.

With 18 years of representing business owners from the smallest to publicly traded corporations, Mr. Sloan's experiences bring added value to business owners and CEO/CFO's through innovative thinking combined with thinking "Out of the Box" to solve business issues. Mr. Sloan's experience as an advisor, planner and innovative mediator have contributed to many successful mergers, workouts and mutually advantageous agreements between clients and their suppliers, distributors and business partners. Mr. Sloan sits on the Board of Directors for the largest animal health distributor in North America and is their general counsel. Mr. Sloan’s business interest began with his position as controller for a 25 store retail operation and continued through his ownership in the early 80's of four retail operations located in the upper Midwest. Mr. Sloan's unique perspective as a business owner is invaluable to clients when litigation is necessary. His ability to provide litigation support by bringing his unique business perspective has earned him a reputation as an asset on the firm's business litigation team.

Ed and his wife, Polly, make their home in Lawrence, Kansas, home of the Jayhawks and have four children.
